Soil mapping, soil physical and chemical property determination, site evaluation, and sampling

Determination project feasibility and preliminary design requirements:

  • Component of environmental worksheets and impact statements
  • Component of urban, turfgrass, agricultural, forest management, and land conversion plans
  • Evaluation of site and soil characteristics for septic system sizing, type, and permit requirements
  • Evaluation of site and soil characteristics for natural or agricultural sites for municipal sludge (biosolids) application

  • Conduct cooperative research to evaluate the efficacy of best management practices on soil and water quality
  • Management and participation in environmental assessment worksheets (EAWs) and environmental impact statements (EISs)
  • Utilization of computer simulation models to determine soil and water quality effects of existing and proposed turfgrass and golf course projects
